Late last week, it was rumored that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would be updated to version 2.0.0, due to a server datamine suggesting as much. Shortly after, it was confirmed via the game’s in-built news ticker. Now, another datamine from the same source, OatmealDome’s SSBU Bot, may have unearthed just when the update will go live.

If you were hoping the update would be detailed in a Direct you may be out of luck, as the text declaring the update’s availability is scheduled to go live at 1:00 a.m. GMT, so this evening in North America.

Unless we see a surprise Direct within a matter of hours, which, to be fair, Nintendo has sprung up on us before, it may be a little while before the eagerly awaited potted Piranha Plant drops into your game.
