Splatfests have gotten reworked when it comes to scoring and partying up with friends, but at their core it’s still all about picking sides and spreading ink. Coming in hot after this week’s update to Version 4.0, we’ve got a Fest focused on something Inklings love just about as much as their chromatic crusade to compete with each other. I speak, of course, of style.
The next #Splatoon2 #Splatfest starts 9/21 at 9pm PT! What’s your style: Retro or Modern? This will be the first Splatfest to feature the updated rules, so grab your top hat or get an angular haircut and get ready!

Fashion minded and full of a need to be the center of attention, most Ink and Octolings just can’t help but put their best looks together (you know, unless they’re just going for skills in which case – for shame). It’s Retro versus Modern here, putting the nostalgic up against the cutting edge to see what wins out and sets a whole new trend.
Even if you’ll be forced into your Splatfest tee of choice for this one, I want to see some truth in these picks. Really dig through those wardrobes and comb the store shelves to put together a look that fits your theme and shows some pride when this one kicks off on September 21st.
