While the last Sonic Mania Plus dev diary delved into the art direction, this latest looks at what went into the game’s genesis. Having started with a build of Studiopolis Zone as Sonic “Discovery”, Developer Christian Whitehead touches on the reaction to the build, how Mighty & Ray suit the game, and the joy of the new four player competition mode. Along with him is head of Sonic Team and Producer Takashi Iizuka, explaining the intent and differences of Encore Mode. Have a look:
