Today Japanese magazine CoroCoro revealed more info on the next main line game in the Yo-Kai Watch series, which was announced back in April. No gameplay was shown, but there’s definitely a hint to its functionality and potential with this latest teaser.

It looks like doors and keys are going to play a big role in the game, with the keys potentially taking the place of medals this time around. It’s also moving the series from the 3DS to the Switch, and with three characters shown in the intro might be pointing to an immediate release of not one, not two, but three versions of the game. It’s also worth noting that Whisper and Jibanyan’s classic designs pop up, rather than the already-confirmed darker designs.

Keep in mind that’s a lot of speculating off of one quick teaser, but with how popular the series has been in Japan nothing like this is surprising me. And did you see that cat ghost? That thing’s probably somehow already started making Level-5 money.
