I fully expected to get word on when Daroach and Dark Meta Knight, the next new Dream Friends for Kirby Star Allies, would be coming during E3. But the show came, the show went, and I’m still without a good reason to load that game back up (you know, other than it being fun). Still, the Japanese Kirby account still has our backs in its own way, because while no date has been shared we do have another look at the Squeak’s leader in action now:

Those fast clashes slashes are making me think of Kirby’s Animal ability, which also debuted alongside Daroach on the DS. While that could be a bit of a stretch of a reference, that wand attack sending out some stars is the reappearance of the Triple Star ability from Squeak Squad. It’s a fitting part of his moveset, one that’ll hopefully continue to be as faithful as the other Dream Friends’.
Summer’s just about officially here, so any day now we might finally learn when Kirby’s Star Allies’ upcoming update will land.
