While it’s the biggest fighting game tournament in America (if not the world), EVO doesn’t always have room on the main stage for every fisticuff-based brawler out there, especially as new games come out each year. Pokkén Tournament, after being featured in 2016 and narrowly missing a shot in 2017, is one such case – but the game’s DX version will be coming to EVO 2018 as an official side event.
Hello Pokkén community!
It's my pleasure to share that #PokkenTournamentDX Top 4 will be played, featured, and streamed on @EVO's official side stage!
Pokkén will be returning as a community event this year, hope to see many of you there! Stay tuned for more details/schedule! pic.twitter.com/CqIEFMdxEA

While it lacks the grand pot bonus or time in the spotlight, Pokkén will be returning as a grassroots community event, showcasing the love and passion behind its competitive scene. While details are sparse, Top 4 will be streamed, which means that people at home will be able to tune into the action. And, of course, anybody attending the event will have the chance to participate as well.
Be sure to stay wired for more info on the particulars, including sign-ups and a schedule.
