At the start of this month we reported on the surprising news that the Chinese version of the Nvidia Shield would get some exclusive HD Wii and GameCube ports. Now, via the official Chinese site, we’ve gotten our first glimpse of the games in action, and it reveals a few interesting nuggets of information.

For starters, the UI in all of the games shown is redone, with New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Punch Out!! having a cleaner look while Twilight Princess has the Nvidia Button layouts. We also see that Link is left handed, suggesting it will be a wide-screen version of the original GameCube title, rather than the mirrored Wii port.

Two other games are also in the pipeline – Metroid Prime and Super Mario Galaxy. We’ve yet to hear word of the games heading west, but given the Switch runs on an Nvidia GPU we might see some ports eventually. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date.
