As you hop, skip and jump your way through Super Mario Odyssey you’ll eventually run into a new, bizarre character: Uncle amiibo. A small, flat robot with a satellite, this guy is who you go to when you want to tap your figures and get a hint as to where those elusive Power Moons are hiding.
On top of that, a select few of the figures unlock costumes for Mario. While these can be bought in-game as you collect the Power Moons, tapping an amiibo gets you the full outfit right then and there.
