Fire Emblem Warriors is the focus of a lot of events at Tokyo Game Show this year, which is little surprising considering the game releases in Japan next week. The first of four planned streams for the game revealed another character in the roster – Celica, one of the dual protagonists of Fire Emblem Gaiden and its recent remake, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

Celica’s announcement would be somewhat surprising, given that she exists outside of the game’s stated Shadow Dragon-Awakening-Fates paradigm, but after a recent leak showed her on a special edition box art the impact of the reveal is dampened somewhat. It certainly seems that the other characters on the leaked box (Tiki, Caeda, and Anna) are even more likely to be in the game now.

It’s rather strange for Celica to appear without Alm, her fellow Echoes protagonist, though there is a slight chance that the Conqueror of Valentia will still make it into the game. We’ll just have to see as FE Warriors content at TGS continues over the next few days, leading to its Japanese release on September 28th.
