Puyo Puyo Tetris has been my jam since I first played it on the Switch. I’ve been enjoying the game and have made it known again and again that it’s one of my go-to titles on Nintendo’s new system. Back in mid-July, it was announced a balance patch was due by August, and though it took a little longer than anticipated, the downloadable update came out just last night. You can see the notes in the tweet below.

The fixes to Puzzle League multiplayer and the added replay pausing are great for those who are deep into the game’s competitive nature.

At the heart of the update are the balance adjustments when it comes to Puyo vs. Tetris matches. When you’ve got two different game styles fighting against each other, there’s bound to be an issue or two — so hopefully this update removes that ‘slight disadvantage’.
