Ever since that infamous rooftop party seen in the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer we’ve been wondering if Super Mario Odyssey will have multiplayer. Today, Nintendo Treehouse finally confirmed it, showing off some brief gameplay of a second player controlling Cappy. You can check it out at the 4:50 mark in the video below:

Much like the co-op mode seen in Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel, the second player will be dependent on Mario’s movement. This time around, however, they will be able to physically interact with the world more thoroughly. They can collect items, hit enemies and provide a platform for the other player to hop on.

We’ll be sure to bring you more on Super Mario Odyssey as we approach its October 27th release date.
