Octolings are getting a few new upgrades with Splatoon 2 as teased by Splatoon’s Japanese Twitter account. The foil to our beloved Inklings, Octolings are now getting their hands (tentacles?) on Slosher, Blaster and Roller weapons.
While their clothing (for the most part) remains the same, they’re getting some new shades. Oddly enough, they’re the same shape as a certain “big baddie” who takes center stage on the Splatoon 2 poster that Nintendo released last week. Combine that with the “Terminator” red glow these glasses emit, and it looks like Splatoon 2’s story campaign may be a crazy roller coaster of emotions and battles.
Given the fervor the Splatoon community had with Octolings being playable characters, let’s hope we can make our own and finally get them into Turf War matches with Judd and Li’l Judd watching on the sidelines. What side would you pick: Team Kid Squid or Team Kid Octopus?
