Developer Nicalis took to Twitter to announce that along with Cave Story+’s release on the Switch this June, “a few unannounced goodies” would also be included with the game. Also featuring an image of an old school looking instruction booklet, the tweet has raised the hype level for the nostalgia-driven game experience awaiting us in merely weeks.

This will undoubtedly get players who are looking for a trip down memory lane even more excited for Cave Story+. Nicalis famously included a similar instruction manual with The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ for the Switch back in March; and considering the warm reception upon release, we can only imagine how the inclusion of more “goodies” will entice those who appreciate such rarities to snatch up copies as quickly as possible.
