Rumors about Nintendo’s next-year Mario Kart Switch are swirling, with a blog post by Emily Rogers claiming the title, believed to be a port of Mario Kart 8, will include all the available content on the Wii U version, plus a lot more.

“According to sources close to Nintendo, the Switch version of Mario Kart 8 will feature tons of exclusive content including brand new tracks, new playable characters, and a new-and-improved battle mode,” writes Rogers.

Mario Kart 8’s Battle Mode was widely criticized by players and fans of the series for its perceived lack of features present in previous games, a note Rogers makes in her article.

Emily Rogers has been a active contributor to the Nintendo rumor mill for some time, with previous claims including what to expect hardware-wise from the Switch (then known as the NX), a new Paper Mario for Wii U and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Splatoon ports for the Switch.

Rogers also claims the game has finished development and will be released “within the first three months of Switch’s launch.”
