Capcom is currently marketing its upcoming cross-media series Monster Hunter Stories quite strongly in Japan ahead of its October launch, but very little has been said when it comes to a western release. We finally have confirmation of at least one part of the spin-off heading over though – the anime, subtitled “Ride On”.
Funimation announced that it got the rights to bring the series over at its Otakon panel over the weekend, and it will be available to stream this October via FunimationNOW. There’s no word yet on whether it will simply be subtitled or if it’ll receive the dub treatment, but the company does tend to dub most anime it licenses, from Puzzles and Dragons to Tales of Zestiria X.

Of course what’s most exciting about this for Monster Hunter fans is that it may hint at the video game and amiibo coming over sooner rather than later. We’ll be sure to bring you news if and when Capcom makes an official announcement.
