The Duskbloods was one of the safest bets for a Nintendo Direct, and sure enough we got another brief look at FromSoftware’s upcoming Switch 2 exclusive during June’s presentation. Granted, it wasn’t the deepest or most comprehensive look, but it did have some pertinent pieces of info.

For one, the game’s 2026 release was reconfirmed, meaning at the very least we should be playing this one within the next six months. Doubly so because a closed network test was announced for this summer, and while sign-up details for that weren’t given, it’s something to look forward to for those who appreciate the developer’s iconic gameplay and worldbuilding.

The multiplayer game will have you in the role of a Bloodsworn, letting you fight with (or against) seven other players. Expect unique weapons, and abilities and blood-based powers whenever this one finally steps into the light and shares fuller details.
