Long rumored and even longer loved, the Zelda series’ first handheld adventure is finally coming back! The final announcement of today’s Nintendo Direct saw Link back on the high seas before getting shipwrecked on an all too familiar island:
Several familiar characters (both from Zelda and beyond) were shown, and the game has now adopted an evolution of A Link Between Worlds’ visuals.
No further details were provided, but as the “Ballad of the Windfish” played we learned when we can expect this one to come ashore. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is coming to Switch later this year.
