After Pokémon Quest and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! made their debuts, The Pokemon Company had one last announcement.
While nothing was shown, they have confirmed that a “core” Pokémon game is on the way.

Presumably the start of the eighth generation, it looks like we’ll have to wait ‘til the second half of 2019 to experience the next new region, Dex, and more.
At the least, though, we’ll have a return to Kanto with Pikachu and Eevee to look forward to later this year.
