Nintendo has announced that a new update is now available for Mario Kart World, which adds new content to the VS and Knockout Tour modes.

Revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, Version 1.8.0 adds 10 courses to VS Race mode, which are all based on tracks from 1992’s Super Mario Kart. Just like in the SNES original, players can drive over ? Panels on these courses to obtain items.

 

 

The full list of tracks is as follows:

 

  • Mario Circuit 1
  • Mario Circuit 2
  • Mario Circuit 3
  • Ghost Valley 1
  • Ghost Valley 2
  • Ghost Valley 3
  • Choco Island 1
  • Choco Island 2
  • Vanilla Lake 1
  • Koopa Beach 1

 

In addition, the update adds two new routes to Knockout Tour, called Propellor Rally and Turnip Rally.

A long list of tweaks and bug fixes have also been implemented, which is available to read on Nintendo’s support website.
