It’s finally happening! After months of anticipation, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time officially launches on Nintendo Switch 2 tomorrow, November 5th, 2026! And whether you’re looking to pick up the game itself, track down the elusive Zelda 40th Anniversary console and Pro Controller, or grab some of the other goodies launching alongside it, we’ve got you covered.
With launch day just hours away, there are a few important updates worth noting. Amazon has officially sold out of the limited edition Ocarina of Time foil cover, but the good news is that Walmart still has it available for $59.99, a full $10 below MSRP! Meanwhile, Amazon has confirmed that the standard cover edition will be available to order starting tomorrow.
As for the Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 console and Pro Controller, both remain sold out at major retailers. However, we’re expecting additional inventory to become available around launch day, so we strongly recommend checking the links below starting tonight and throughout Thursday.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on everything as launch day approaches, so be sure to bookmark this guide and follow Nintendo Wire on Twitter for real-time restock alerts!
Where to buy The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2
Let’s start with the game itself. Ocarina of Time launches November 5th, and if you’re hoping to grab the physical edition with the limited edition foil cover, your options are starting to narrow down.
Amazon has officially sold out of its foil cover pre-orders, and while the retailer has confirmed that the standard cover version will be available starting November 5th, collectors hoping to secure the special packaging will need to look elsewhere.
Thankfully, Walmart is still offering the limited edition foil cover for just $59.99, making it the best remaining option for anyone hoping to save $10 and grab the special edition packaging before it’s gone.
Here’s where you can order Ocarina of Time:
- Walmart (limited edition foil cover): Order for $59.99 ($10 off MSRP)
- Amazon (limited edition foil cover): Sold out. Check for potential restocks
- Amazon (standard cover): Check availability starting November 5
Keep in mind that Walmart’s $10 discount may not last much longer, especially with the game launching tomorrow. If you’ve been holding off on securing the foil cover, now might be your final opportunity to grab it below MSRP.
Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 console restock guide
Now for the big one. The Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 console has been one of the toughest items to track down, with pre-orders selling out almost immediately and some customers even reporting canceled orders due to inventory shortages.
Unfortunately, we haven’t seen any major restocks just yet, but with Ocarina of Time launching tomorrow, we’re hopeful that additional inventory will become available.
Our advice is to start checking retailers tonight and continue refreshing throughout launch day. There’s no guarantee when or where new stock might appear, but we’ll be watching closely and sharing alerts as soon as we spot anything.
Current status: Sold out. Potential launch day restocks expected.

If you’d rather wait in line like the good ol’ days, Best Buy is hosting a midnight launch tonight, and consoles are confirmed to be making an appearance! You can also expect to see Pro Controllers and posters!
Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller restocks
If you’re hoping to grab the matching Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, you’re probably already familiar with just how difficult it’s been to find one.
Like the console, the controller sold out almost immediately when pre-orders went live, and we haven’t seen a significant restock since. However, launch day could bring another opportunity for fans who missed out the first time around.
We recommend checking the links below starting tonight and throughout November 5th. Even if the controller remains unavailable at one retailer, it’s worth checking the others, as inventory can appear without much warning.
Current status: Sold out. Check back starting tonight for potential restocks.

Ocarina of Time Electronic Ocarina: Where to buy and restock updates
Here’s another item we’ll be keeping a close eye on as launch day approaches! The Ocarina of Time Electronic Ocarina is another collectible Zelda fans will want to watch, and listings are beginning to appear at major retailers.
A product listing has already gone live at Target, although it’s currently marked as sold out. Meanwhile, Amazon has a product link available, but the item hasn’t officially gone up for sale there just yet.
It’s unclear exactly when either retailer will have inventory available, but with Ocarina of Time launching tomorrow, we’ll be watching both listings closely.
Where to find the Ocarina of Time Electronic Ocarina:

LEGO The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle

LEGO The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle brings one of the most memorable moments from Link’s Nintendo 64 adventure into LEGO form. It’s a fun addition for longtime Zelda fans, especially anyone looking to build out their collection beyond the game and limited edition hardware.
Whether you’re planning to display it alongside your Zelda collectibles or just want another excuse to revisit the world of Ocarina of Time, it’s definitely worth a look.
