Purveyors and restorers of classic games, Nightdive Studios has announced that SiN: Reloaded will be hitting PC and consoles on September 24th, 2026. A remaster of a late ’90s boomer shooter that was completely overshadowed by the launch of Half-Life a week later, SiN Reloaded combines the original SiN with its expansion pack, Wages of Sin, with new optimizations made possibly by Nightdive’s in-house KEX Engine. As is typical with past Nightdive releases, this will likely be the definitive way to play SiN going forward.

SiN: Reloaded presents a new graphical overhaul for the games that can be toggled at will for players who want to experience the original presentation. There is support for higher resolutions, with 4K and 144 fps mentioned for the PC version, and modernized controller support. Mouse and keyboard support will be available on every platform, and a behind-the-scenes vault with development documents will be accessible from the main menu. Some of the level layouts have also been tweaked to provide a smoother experience for newer players, which is rather good news considering some of SiN’s levels can be confusing as hell.

One thing that struck me is how Nightdive has confirmed a specific Nintendo Switch 2 version for SiN: Reloaded. While past Nightdive remasters have been limited to the original Switch, some of its newer releases have been updated within the last year. The rather excellent LucasArts shooter Outlaws received a Switch 2 port last month, and Blood: Refreshed Supply was given Switch 2 enhancements recently. Better still, these Switch 2 upgrades are offered for free to owners of the original Switch versions, so you don’t even need to worry about rebuying the game later down the line. I’m not sure that SiN: Reloaded will run in native 4K on Switch 2, but it should look noticeably cleaner than the Switch version.
