As was heavily rumored leading into today’s showcase, Capcom announced Resident Evil Veronica as the first game during the Summer Game Fest stream. A remake of Resident Evil Code Veronica, we don’t know much more to go off aside from a cinematic trailer. The game is still set in Paris and will feature the return of Claire Redfield, who has been absent in the series since Resident Evil 2’s remake in 2019.

As with Requiem before it, the game will be hitting Nintendo Switch 2 day and day with the other platforms. Capcom is definitely in full swing with supporting Nintendo’s latest console, and with how well Requiem turned out, there’s no reason to believe Veronica will be lackluster.
