In a rather surprising announcement, Capcom has revealed that the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy will be receiving a title update on November 19th, 2025, for all platforms. While not exactly a major overhaul of the title, it will bring a plethora of new features and modes to the game, including support for Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese languages.

Capcom lists out the new modes: “Gallery Mode,” “Episode Selection,” “Scene Creator,” and “Story Mode.” As you can guess, Gallery Mode lets you look at concept art and listen to tracks from the three games’ OSTs. Episode Selection gives you a more granular choice in selecting which case you want to play as well as where in the case you begin. Scene Creator is less the ability to create new cases and more a way to mess around with the character art in different backdrops. Lastly, Story Mode is simply a way to experience each title without dealing with the court cases or investigation bits. It strips away the gameplay elements, but considering that the Ace Attorney series is more of a visual novel anyway, it does open things up for an audience that might not be interested in dealing with puzzles.

I’m not certain if features like this are included in the Apollo Justice Trilogy or not, but it’s great to see Capcom continue to update and support this compilation so long after its original release. It’s unlikely we’ll see an update to next-generation hardware, but considering all newer consoles are backward compatible, there’s no reason not to get this game. The Ace Attorney series is great.
