The year 2025 marks a very special occasion for many Nintendo fans out there. It isn’t just the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, but also the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario series. Despite this, there hasn’t been much of any news relating to Mario from Nintendo themselves, beyond the release of Mario Kart World that is. It might come as a surprise then to hear the latest word of what Mario is up to from a baseball team of all things, but that’s exactly what’s happening, as the Seattle Mariners announce a special Super Mario Day event coming soon.

This special promotion offers the opportunity for fans to receive a Super Mario x Mariners cap as a bonus for attending the game. Specifically, the hat will be available at the Seattle Mariners vs. Los Angeles Angels game, which is set for next Sunday, September 14th. The game will be held at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington at 1:10 p.m. PT. Tickets are available right now, but it’s worth keeping in mind that the hat will only be available to the first 15,000 attendees, so when game day rolls around be sure not to be late!

While it’s nothing crazy, it’s nice to see creative Mario collaborations like this. For those out there who are big baseball fans and enjoy keeping up with Mario’s adventures through the Mushroom Kingdom, this special cap makes for a perfect collectible item. If that sounds like you and you’re in the Seattle area, be sure to check out ticket listings and mark your calendar so you won’t miss out!
