Update (10/25/24): Splatoween, the spookiest Splatfest in Splatoon 3, kicks off today! So naturally, those over at the lab have shared the latest art to celebrate. Check it out below!

It’s the spookiest month of the year once again, and Splatoon 3 is making sure not to be left out of the fun by offering up another spectacular Splatoween celebration. This year’s special Halloween-themed Splatfest is asking players what they would be in a fantasy world: a wizard, a knight, or a ninja?

This fun Splatoween theme is a recycled mashup of two previous Splatoon 2 Splatfests, Knight vs. Wizard and Ninja vs. Pirate. Wizards and Pirates previously came out on top, but with Pirates nowhere to be seen this Splatoween, it’s up to Knights and Ninjas to take their shot at dethroning Wizards once and for all.

The theme isn’t the only thing returning from Splatoon 2 either, as the four pieces of special Splatoween headgear originally available in Splatoon 2 are making their return as well! Make sure to launch Splatoon 3 from the special Squid Research Lab article in your Nintendo Switch’s news tab to claim the Kyonshi Hat, Li’l Devil Horns, Hockey Mask, and Anglerfish Mask from your lobby terminal in Splatoon 3.

This year’s Splatoween celebration will run the weekend of October 25th, starting at 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, October 25th, and will conclude at 5 p.m., Sunday, October 27th — but voting is open now! Make sure to choose your team early to rack up those Conch Shells as you level up your Drizzle Season 2024 catalog, and get ready to splat it out in support of your team later this month.
