It’s that time again, amiibo fans. Another amiibo wave is upon us and this one could prove to be the most challenging yet. With online pre-orders for exclusives selling out in minutes and a new pair of unicorn level Fire Emblem amiibo releasing, you may be thinking: How can I ever acquire all the amiibo I want? Follow our guide and you, too, can survive Black Amiibo Friday.

Remember folks, amiibo hunting is serious business, and if you expect to survive Black Amiibo Friday, you need to plan carefully. Get yourself a survival pack and load it up with essentials that will keep you sane during your several hour-long wait.

Planning and execution
If you’re like us, you’re hunting for amiibo at several locations. Get to know when stores open and how many of each amiibo they will have in advance.
Open: Most locations open at 7 a.m. Some stores are open 24 hours and allow you to purchase amiibo at midnight.
Exclusives: There are no Wave 4 exclusives for Walmart.
Stock: It is unknown what locations will receive which amiibo. Several stores have accidentally put their stock out early and only appear to have Pac-Man and Charizard in stock. No word on how many of each figure will be available.
Limit: Walmart has not set an official limit on amiibo purchases at this time.
Open: Target locations will open at 8 a.m.
Exclusives: Jigglypuff is an exclusive to Target stores.
Stock: Target should receive a number of each figure. Estimated stocks are listed below.
Limit: Target is limiting the sale of each figure to two per customer.
Open: Toys ‘R’ Us locations open at 10 a.m.
Exclusives: Greninja is a Toys ‘R’ Us exclusive.
Stock: Toys ‘R’ Us will receive an allotment of all figures, including Silver Mario, at some locations. Estimated stocks are listed below.
Limit: Toys ‘R’ Us generally limits one of each amiibo per customer.
Open: GameStop locations open at 10 a.m.
Exclusives: Ness is a GameStop exclusive.
Stock: GameStop is receiving a limited supply of each Wave 4 amiibo figure, including Ness and Silver Mario. Estimated stock levels are listed below.
Limit: GameStop generally has a one figure per customer policy.
Open: Best Buy locations open at 10 a.m.
Exclusives: Meta Knight is a Best Buy exclusive.
Stock: Best Buy is confirmed to have a small allotment of each Wave 4 amiibo and is rumored to have a supply of Meta Knight. Estimated stock levels are listed below.
Limit: Best Buy generally has a one figure per customer policy.
