The Nintendo Switch Online libraries of retro games continue to expand with four more games joining the service, and this time around there’s a heavy emphasis on Japanese imports!
For the NES we have two titles. The first of these will be familiar to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players as Joy Mech Fight’s Sukapon appears as an Assist Trophy. As for the game itself, it’s a very early example of a 1 vs. 1 fighting game. The second NES title is the multiplayer Kunio-Kun/River City spin-off Downtown Nekketsu March: Super-Awesome Field Day!
The Super Nintendo meanwhile is getting another Kirby puzzler – Kirby Star Stacker. While the original Game Boy version did get an English localization, this Super Famicom port never left Japanese shores, likely due to its very late 1998 release.
Finally, the Game Boy Color is getting the sole English release and it’s a bizarre one – Quest for Camelot, based on the animated movie of the same name that bombed at the box office. The handheld adaptation appears to be inspired by The Legend of Zelda, though it’s doubtful it’ll be giving the recently added Oracles games a run for their money!
