How do I use amiibo in Monster Hunter Stories 2?
It’s especially easy to use your amiibo in Monster Hunter Stories 2, all you need to do is head to the Prayer Pot in any of the game’s hubs and select the third option, “Use an amiibo.” You’ll get access to the Prayer Pot and its amiibo support early on in the game, right after you return from your first outing with Kayna.
Tapping any amiibo at the Prayer Pot will have Tsukino read your fortune, granting you items based on the type of fortune read – Crescent Moon, Half Moon, or Full Moon. These fortune types are seemingly chosen at random, and the closer the moon is to full, the more items you will receive. Any amiibo figures or cards should work just fine and grant you a fortune, though you can only scan up to ten amiibo per day, and you can only scan each amiibo once. I did discover that if you have duplicate amiibo cards, you can scan the same character more than once per day as long as it is a separate amiibo.
Scanning any Monster Hunter series amiibo also nets you additional rewards alongside Tsukino’s fortune reading, which are unblocked the first time you scan them.

The three brand new amiibo that have arrived alongside Monster Hunter Stories 2 each feature a character from the game: Ena, Razewing Ratha, and Tsukino. Each of these three amiibo rewards a distinct Layered Armor for the player character in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
Scanning an Ena amiibo will reward the player with Ena’s outfit if the player character is female, and Kyle’s outfit if the player character is male.
Scanning the Razewing Ratha amiibo will reward the player with Red’s outfit, wearable by both male and female player characters.
Scanning the Tsukino amiibo will reward the player with a Tsukino costume, wearable by both male and female player characters.
What do Monster Hunter Rise amiibo do in Monster Hunter Stories 2?
Scanning any of the three Monster Hunter Rise amiibo — Magnamalo, Palico, or Palamute — released earlier this year will reward the player with the Hunter Sticker set, to be used when communicating with other players when playing online multiplayer. The Hunter Sticker Set features twenty stickers in the style of Monster Hunter Rise.

As a pleasant surprise, scanning any of the original six Monster Hunter Stories amiibo will reward the player with the Hakum Rider Outfit, the original clothing worn by the player character of Monster Hunter Stories.
