As the Season of Celebration comes to an end for Pokémon GO players, next week will see the newest major event begin. While last season may have spotlighted specific regions and their special quirks, this time around the legends of those areas will steal their thunder. From Legendary Pokémon to legendary Trainers, the “Season of Legends” event will begin Monday, March 1st, at 8:00 a.m., and end Tuesday, June 1st, at 10:00 a.m. your local time.

All the exact details are currently not available, but Niantic has noted a ton of features that will be included in the upcoming Season of Legends. Pokémon GO will see the debut of multiple popular Legendary Pokémon who have yet to make an appearance in the game.

To start the event off with a bang and a crash during its first few days, the Unova region’s forces of nature trio Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus will make their landing with each’s respective Therian Formes.

On top of the trio taking over local environments, starting March 1st different Mega-Evolved Pokémon will be appearing in Mega Raids with newly added evolutions yet to be unveiled. Egg hatching and wild Pokémon will also be receiving a boost in variety as different kinds of Pokémon have been incorporated into both features for the coming season.

Hemisphere exclusive Pokémon have also been expanded upon for the Season of Legends. In the northern hemisphere, you’ll be able to encounter Pokémon like Tangela, Combee, Croagunk, Ducklett, Scyther, Dratini, Cottonee, and more. Partner Pokémon originally from the Sinnoh region — Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup — will also be appearing in the wild, alongside Spring Form Deerling.

As for the southern hemisphere, Pokémon like Mankey, Yanma, Buizel, Woobat, Pineco, Bagon, Ferroseed, and more will be appearing in the wild, alongside partner Pokémon originally found in the Unova region — Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott! Contrary to the species spring form found in the north, Autumn Form Deerling will be exclusive to the south.

Finally, as goes the usual with every single new season of events, bonus goodies, increased XP, and new Special Research will be available to all players. These tasks will bring Trainers closer to discovering the Legendary Pokémon that await throughout the coming months. Stock up those Poké Balls and get leveling up because you have until next Monday to prepare for another season of adventures!
