The very first Shantae game is getting a physical re-release on both the Game Boy Color and Nintendo Switch thanks to Limited Run Games.
The announcement was made during today’s LRG3 2020 show — an annual livestream during which Limited Run Games announces new releases.

The original Shantae launched in 2002 for the Game Boy Color and is, today, notoriously hard to find a physical copy of.
Resellers on eBay list legitimate cartridges with prices anywhere from $400 to $10,000 USD.
Today, the original Shantae can be purchased on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, but this is the first time in almost two decades the game is getting a physical reprint.
