Today’s update to Nintendo Switch Online brings with it two new NES games, Donkey Kong 3 and Wrecking Crew. While Donkey Kong 3 certainly isn’t going to add a lot of excitement for most people (considering it was already available on the eShop as an Arcade archives title), I’m happy to see it join the growing collection of NES games on Nintendo Switch Online. When it comes to Wrecking Crew, I’m honestly surprised that it’s taken this long for it to show up on the service.
Also added to Nintendo Switch Online today is a brand new Rewind feature (which was first revealed earlier this month). Rewind allows players to move back in time a few seconds in any NES game available on Nintendo Switch Online, letting them have an immediate do-over of any mistakes or rough patches, if they so please. It’s a great little feature that I’m sure will benefit younger players looking to clear these old classics a little bit easier.
