You might be Tetris 99’ed out from the last week or so thanks to an on-going second chance event, but now’s the time to really put your skill to the test. The game has a new theme to add to Tetris 99 during this chaos! In promotion of the recently released Splatoon Raiders, players will soon be able to earn a matching theme in Tetris 99!
As with past Maximus Cup events, you’ll simply need to earn 100 points across online matches to permanently unlock the theme. Coming in first will automatically give you 100 points while second gives 50. Third gets 25 and the points go down from there. It’s not too difficult to unlock themes even if you lose a lot, so don’t lose hope!
The second chance event will also continue to run during the Splatoon Raiders cup, so you don’t need to worry about missing out on anything. All previous themes (save for the last three) are available for two tickets each. You can read our previous coverage here.
