After some outlandish rumors started to make the rounds in the last few weeks, it seems Capcom was able to make the impossible a reality. Tifa from Final Fantasy VII will be playable in Street Fighter 6’s year four season pass. Announced during Summer Games Fest, we didn’t get footage yet (because it’s way too early), but this isn’t a joke. Tifa will soon be throwing hands with the likes of Ryu and Chun-Li.

As for the other three fighters, they are actually brand-new characters to Street Fighter as a whole. Bosch technically made his debut in Street Fighter 6’s campaign, but he will finally be playable. The other two are Arjun and Yasmine, who have some very anime-inspired designs. I dig the look, and I’m happy that Capcom is producing a season with 100% original characters not featured in past games.

Street Fighter 6 Season 4 release date

There’s no date for Street Fighter 6’s fourth season pass yet, but it should be launching in a few months. Yasmine will be first, followed by Arjun, then Bosch, and Tifa will be released sometime in 2027.
