Fans of The Legend of Zelda have uncovered new details and images of the series’ upcoming live-action film adaptation, which may confirm unannounced characters in the movie.

GameXplain’s latest video goes over a number of posts from X which share new clues of the film’s cast. One by user @SheikavOficial shared a screenshot taken from a casting website, which suggests actor Albert Latailakepa will play a Goron. The role would presumably be voiced, given that the Gorons are not human – they’re a race of rock people that appear across many Zelda games.

Another X user, @farourage, posted a since-deleted casting website screenshot of a young girl named Evelyn Towersey, who may be playing Fado in the film. The Ocarina of Time character is a Kokiri child who teaches Link how to look around in first-person near the start of the game.

@farourage also shared another photo of Towersey, this time with a group of other young actors, theorizing that all five may be cast as Kokiri kids.

Finally, @farourage shared a photo of a dog spotted on the movie set. It is unclear whether or not it will have a role in the movie or if it is simply owned by one of the crew, but it does look very similar to the dogs seen in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

It should be noted that none of this has yet been confirmed by Nintendo or Sony Pictures.

Producer Shigeru Miyamoto recently announced that the upcoming film is now scheduled to be released on April 30th, 2026 – a week earlier than its previous May 7th date.
