After a random ESRB listing cropped up earlier this month, it’s now been confirmed that the 2017 compilation “The Disney Afternoon Collection” will be heading to Switch and Switch 2. Scheduled for release on February 26, 2026, it seems developer Digital Eclipse was not content to leave it with just the six original games. Two new SNES games are being added and one is an absolute classic: Goof Troop. Honestly, you could just sell that game, and it would be worth it, but I appreciate Digital Eclipse adding some extra bang for your buck.
The confirmation didn’t come from Capcom or Digital Eclipse, however. A Japanese eShop listing, complete with screenshots and some new information, laid out what this updated version of the collection will have. Most of the details are the same from the previous releases on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, including rewind features, save states, and a gallery. There’s also “Bosh Rush” and “Time Attack” for the NES games, though it seems the two SNES games won’t have those features.
Here is the new list of games included in The Disney Afternoon Collection:
- Ducktales
- Ducktales 2
- Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers
- Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers 2
- Darkwing Duck
- TaleSpin
- Goof Troop
- Bonkers
On the eShop, you can pre-order the collection for ¥2,070, which roughly equates to $13.50. I’m guessing the collection will either be $15 or $20 when it hits the US. It currently goes for $20 on other platforms, which is pretty fair for what’s included.
