After rumors a few weeks back and a sneaky tease of a stream for this week from publisher Square Enix, news of the next Life is Strange game has gone live a little early. As many thought, the game will be called Life is Strange: Reunion, and it will bring back both Max Caulfield and Chloe Price. Set for release on March 26, 2026, the game sees the duo dealing with the ramifications of the previous game, Double Exposure, not to mention the secondary ending option from the original.
In a rather lengthy blog post on Xbox Wire explaining the details, senior Life is Strange brand manager Andrew James talks about the significance of the series to his life and what he hopes the developers at Deck Nine can achieve with this game. As he states, “By and for fans of the original, Life is Strange: Reunion finally brings Max and Chloe’s saga to a definitive close.”

There isn’t much revealed about any new gameplay twists that Reunion will introduce, but Max will have her original rewind powers back. It seems some story shenanigans from Double Exposure have restored her original abilities, though it can’t remove the memories Max has retained over the last decade. Players will also switch between Max and Chloe at certain points in the story, giving a different perspective on events.
This post does not confirm whether the game will be available on Switch or Switch 2, though all previous Life is Strange games are on Nintendo’s console. For now, we know it will be hitting PC and Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation.
