Despite a Switch 2 broadcast having been set in stone for weeks at this point (if your calendar hasn’t been marked for April 2 already, you’re doing it wrong), Nintendo has one last surprise in store. Tomorrow, on March 27 at 7 a.m. PT, what could be the final Switch-era Nintendo Direct will air.
Tune in tomorrow, March 27th, at 7 a.m. PT for a livestreamed #NintendoDirect, featuring around 30 minutes of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch. There will be no updates about Nintendo Switch 2 during this presentation.

The roughly 30-minute broadcast will not feature the Switch 2. Instead, the most likely content will be titles spaced throughout the next few months ahead of and slightly after the Switch 2’s (expected) launch.
The easiest guess here would be a fresh look at Metroid Prime 4. While it’s likely to pull a Breath of the Wild and appear on Switch 2 as well, the long-gestating fourth entry in the sub-series is still slated for Switch.
Rumor – Kirby: Planet Robobot might be getting an enhanced port for Switch
Another prevailing rumor regards a port/remake of Kirby: Planet Robobot. We’ve seen some breadcrumbs on this front, up to and including a re-run of the adorable Robobot Nendoroid, and history has shown Kirby titles aren’t shy about dropping late in a console’s life. The 3DS adventure was a fantastic one and would be right at home with the Switch’s existing Kirby lineup.
What we likely won’t see is any new update on Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Last month saw an update on the game during Pokémon Day’s broadcast, and with the Pokémon World Championships on the horizon, it’s much more likely that we’ll see the latest there—some new Mega Evolutions, perhaps?
If you’ve been with us throughout the Switch’s lifetime (even dialing it back to the January 2017 first-look presentation), we hope you’ll stay with us to close this console out. This potentially final Nintendo Switch Direct will air at 7 a.m. PT tomorrow, March 27.
