Earlier this year, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa officially confirmed the existence of the Nintendo Switch successor and its planned announcement window. In a tweet from May, Furukawa stated that the new console would be revealed sometime during this fiscal year, which ends in April 2025. While many had hoped for an earlier announcement, it now seems increasingly likely that the reveal will come after the holiday season.

For those concerned about a potential delay in the announcement, fear not! During the Q3 2024 Nintendo investor call, Furukawa confirmed that there has been “no change” to the planned announcement timeline. While this doesn’t give us much insight into the exact timing, it does reassure us that the reveal is still expected within the next six months. Now, we wait!
