The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is finally available at retailers and digitally and 2024’s Game of the Year has been decided. While that last part is obviously a joke (unless the game turns out to be incredible), Nintendo wants its fans to celebrate the launch of the latest Zelda adventure. To commemorate the occasion, Nintendo’s official Twitter account has shared brand-new artwork featuring Zelda squaring off against… Link?!
Link’s gone rogue? Hyrule is in danger?

While this concept isn’t entirely new to the series -no one can forget Dark Link-it establishes an intriguing angle for Echoes of Wisdom’s story. Has Link been mind-controlled? Will he be the final boss? Why isn’t there a co-op mode? All of these questions (well, maybe not the latter) can be answered by buying and playing Echoes of Wisdom.
I’ve already purchased my own physical copy, which came with a neat little acrylic standee. It’s not the most elaborate thing and I bet it only cost maybe $2 to produce, but it’s fun and certainly bookends the Switch case from falling over. I miss physical pre-order bonuses, even if this isn’t something that will likely last more than a couple of years.
