Konami had a one-two punch for reveals during today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. Along with the collection of Suikoden games coming next year, a triple pack of Castlevania titles was announced with a much shorter wait time.
Behold, the Castlevania Dominus Collection:
The compilation unites three entries in the franchise with one main unifier – they were all DS games!
- Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
- Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
- Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
While they are all distinct from one another in tone and cast (and other than series staples, are all fairly removed from one another from a story perspective) this trio makes perfect sense as a set. Konami didn’t miss for a good while when it came to Castlevanias in the mid-2000s, and the core of that was these three games.
Add on the novelty of all of these having been on a system with a whole second screen compared to the Switch, and I’m eager to jump back into the night and revisit them all!
