The Guerilla Collective showcased presented by the Media Indie Exchange has been full of surprises this afternoon. One of the world exclusive premieres was a new entry in the Five Nights At Freddy’s franchise.

This entry, dubbed Into The Pit, introduces 2D side-scrolling survival horror into the series’ variety of gameplay styles. Even more notably, this title travels back to the start of the Five Nights At Freddy’s saga of events. Interestingly, the namesake pizzeria the game takes place in is called Jeff’s Pizza.

Of course, the animatronics are the stars of the show and the new title will see you running throughout the formative days of birthday party horror, hiding under tables and exploring Jeff’s Pizza in its entirety. The SNES-like pixel art look of the game brings to mind the Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World game. It definitely suits the source material and has a slick look.

This new exploration and survival-focused take on the beloved, successful franchise looks promising. We far as release date, the trailer doesn’t give an exact day and date, but it does say it’s “coming soon”.
