Four Sonic the Hedgehog characters will be playable via DLC in the upcoming Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, releasing later this month.
Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy will be available through the “Sega Pass,” which is included in the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game at $69.99/£59.99 or can be purchased separately at $24.99/£22.29.
Sega released a new trailer of the characters in action, with each having their own unique stats and are playable across both Adventure Mode and Battle Mode. When one of these characters are selected, the collectible bananas will also switch to the Sonic series’ staple Gold Rings.
As well as the Sonic team, the Sega Pass will also include an additional two Sega characters that have yet to be revealed, as well as 15 customization items.
If you subscribe to the game’s marketing emails via the official website by July 2nd, you will receive a code for an in-game “special shinobi costume.”
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch on June 25th. You can pre-order the game now through our Amazon affiliate link.
The game’s release will mark the first all-new title in the Super Monkey Ball series in over 10 years, putting aside remakes and remasters.
Banana Rumble has a particular emphasis on multiplayer, with various co-operative and competitive modes in splitscreen as well as support for up to 16 players when playing online.
