Nintendo of Japan has announced that construction on the Nintendo Museum in Japan has finally finished. While the plan was to have everything done by March 2024, things were delayed slightly for undisclosed reasons (likely due to a lack of materials). With construction wrapped, Nintendo is confident that the museum will open to the public in Fall 2024.

As a reminder, the Nintendo Museum will be situated in Uji City, Kyoto, and will host a variety of artifacts from Nintendo’s history. We don’t know specifically what will be in the museum, but it would be ludicrous if there wasn’t entire rooms dedicated to Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and even Kirby. Previous press releases have stated that exhibits and experiences will be present, so there is a chance that old E3 showcases will be recreated for fans to enjoy.

This latest news comes courtesy of Nintendo’s latest financial results report. This is the same report that finally gave us confirmation that a Switch successor is, indeed, in the works. Along with an update on the museum, there was mention of the next Super Mario Bros. film and the upcoming Donkey Kong Country area at Universal Studios Japan.
