The long-awaited return of everyone’s favorite pink princess to the title role was a huge hit when Princess Peach: Showtime! launched in Japan, moving 77,562 copies in its debut week. She’s still holding strong, too, maintaining the number one spot the following week (March 25th, 2024 to March 31st, 2024) according to Famitsu.

This second week on Japanese store shelves saw the game move another 27,258, taking it over the 100,000 sales mark in its home region. This means it’s beat out Koei Tecmo’s Rise of the Ronin, the newcomer Winning Post 10 2024, and the eternal phenomenon that is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
