We’re mere weeks away from the release of Princess Peach: Showtime!, so it only makes sense that Nintendo would finally release a demo of the game. While not a tremendous sampling of the main game, this new demo will let players experience Swordfighter Peach and Patisserie Peach in short levels. This is the first time beyond short videos that Nintendo will be showcasing any substantial gameplay.

There are no carryover bonuses to the full game for playing the demo, so if you’d like to save the surprises for release, you’re safe to do so. I’m very interested to see if Showtime! manages to hit a good rhythm with its different transformations. This idea seems far better than Super Princess Peach, which was a pretty lackluster foundation to build a game on.

What’s the Rehearsal mode in Princess Peach: Showtime!?

As well as a demo, Nintendo has uploaded another trailer to YouTube that highlights some other features. While there aren’t any new transformations, players will be able to partake in a mode called “Rehearsal.” In this, Peach will take on waves of enemies to earn some rewards and unlock new customization options. That sounds like a fun diversion between levels.

When does Princess Peach: Showtime! release?

Princess Peach: Showtime! is just around the corner with a March 22nd release date. Pre-orders are available now on the Nintendo eShop and through most major retailers where Nintendo Switch games are sold
