The Lego Mario sets have been incredibly popular with kids and adults alike, so it’s no surprise that the company would want to continue its collaboration with Nintendo. With MAR10 Day fast-approaching, everything is set in motion for a new reveal with the Lego sets. Over on Lego’s official YouTube page, a teaser was uploaded yesterday that says, “Save the date of March 9 for an exciting Lego Super Mario event!” How exciting.

I guess even Lego is getting into Nintendo Directs, but we’re likely to see more than just a mere booster pack. If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say some Princess Peach add-on might be in the works for the launch of Princess Peach: Showtime! this month. We already have the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom as a figure, but what if she could don her cowgirl getup and shoot some Goombas? It could also be simply another Mario set themed around a specific game. I think it would be really cool to see Super Mario World get some Lego representation, but Nintendo may have strict rules on which games get adapted.

The possibilities are endless, but we won’t have too long to speculate.
