Pokémon Day 2024 has come and gone, and while the major news was the shock announcement of the second installment of the Legends series, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, there were numerous updates to the mobile games! 

 

Pokémon GO celebrates Pokémon Horizons

 

Pokémon GO will feature Pikachu with Cap’s hat, from the Pokémon Horizons series that will premiere next month on Netflix. Charcadet, Armarouge and Ceruledge will begin appearing in the game, and the main characters Liko and Roy will appear if you take a snapshot. 

 

 

Pokémon Sleep to add Johto Legendaries

 

Pokémon Sleep brings the arrival of the Legendary Beasts of Johto. Raikou is the first addition, coming in March, with Suicine and Entei coming later on in the year. 

 

 

Pokémon Masters EX celebrates its 4.5 anniversary

 

Pokémon Masters EX is having a 4.5 year anniversary and celebrating with the addition of the Paldea Top Champion Geeta and her Glimmora coming tomorrow, February 28th, as well as infamous rival Silver and his Tyranitar on March 1st. Log in now and you’ll receive 3,000 gems! 

 

 

Pokémon Café gets Gimmighoul and more

 

Pokémon Café Remix has added Gimmighoul coins, new outfits, and the Paldean Paradoxes Miraidon and Koraidon to the cozy game.

 

 

Pokémon Unite to add Miraidon, Falinks, and Ceruledge

 

Pokémon Unite brings new fighters to the game, with Miraidon available now, Falinks coming in April, and Ceruledge coming soon. A special event is currently running where you can earn three-day Unite license for Miraidon, from now to March 23rd, by using the code POKEDAY24. There’s also a Prize Machine Event available where you can earn Holowear for free! 

 

 

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet February and March 2024 events

 

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will be having Tera Raid Battles for the Kanto evolved starters. Venasaur will be available from February 28th to March 5th, Blastoise from March 6th to March 12th, and Charizard making a return from March 13th to March 17th. Each is only able to be caught once, and if you’ve caught Charizard during the previous event, you won’t be able to catch it again. 

 

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket announced for iOS and Android

 

The biggest announcement other than Legends: Z-A is the reveal of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, a brand-new TCG experience! You’ll collect cards in the app, with two free boosters available per day. You’ll expect to find existing cards as well as TCG Pocket exclusives. The biggest draw are Immersive Cards, which will allow you to dive into the card illustration and explore! Pokémon TCG Pocket will be available for iOS and Android later this year.
