Originally released in Japan all the way back in 2013, Pocket Card Jockey was something of a hidden gem among the 3DS library. Featuring a unique gameplay combination of Solitaire and horse racing was a bold move that succeeded brilliantly. The localization into English in 2016 was for many thought to be the last they’d hear of this charming little game. In a pleasant twist of fate however, it was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase that Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! would arrive on the Nintendo Switch!

What’s new about Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On for Switch?

The core gameplay is largely the same as the original; players compete in a horse race by playing Solitaire to gain Unity Power to win it all. New to the Nintendo Switch remaster comes new rules and charming 3D graphics. Players can also compete online with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription or locally with friends.

When does Pocket Card Jockey release?

Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! is available right now on the Nintendo eShop. If you played the original or think this is your kind of game, be sure to give it a try! There’s also a demo available for those who just want to see what it is all about.
