An update was released today for Super Mario RPG, bringing the remade Square Enix classic up to version 1.01. While that number by itself might seem like a little guy, this update looks pretty substantial on paper. That’s because all but one update in the patch notes address a game-breaking bug. Or in Nintendo’s choice verbiage, issues in which “game progression may sometimes be blocked.” Potato, potato!
The issues fixed involved potential situations players could encounter in the following locations:
- Monstro Town
- Mushroom Kingdom
- Marrymore
- Bowser’s Keep
- Sunken Ship
- Land’s End
A smaller bug involving using Thought Peek on certain enemies in the Sunken Ship area was also fixed. You can check out the full patch notes right here for information on how to update the game and full details on the issues.
