Just last week, we covered comments that Xbox CFO Tim Stuart made regarding Xbox’s goals for Game Pass going forward. In those comments, Stuart had stated that Xbox wanted Game Pass on “every screen that can play games” including PlayStation and Nintendo. Now, speaking to Windows Central, Xbox head Phil Spencer is stating that they have “no plans to bring Game Pass to PlayStation or Nintendo.

Spencer was asked about Tim Stuart’s comments specifically when he gave this “no plans” answer, and didn’t elaborate much further, only going on to definitively say “It’s not in our plans.” It’s not clear from Spencer’s comments or the rest of the interview exactly where Tim Stuart’s comments or point of view were coming from, leaving fans with a bit of a mixed message about what Xbox’s plans for Game Pass on “every screen that can play games” going forward.
